We were walking around the Black Heritage Trail this week. There is a special house where John Kerry lived. The way is long but exciting, and we had seen many old buildings with a very long history. This picture does not exactly show
where we began our trip; however, it is a mark recording the wonderful trip we had suffered. There is a man at site four i should mention. John J. Smith House was born on November 2, 1820. He moved to Boston at the age of twenty-eight. After the civil war, Smith was elected as the representatives of the Massachusetts House. Then he moved into this house until he died.

It is the school named Abiel Smith that had offered education to millions of black people. Fortunately enough, the local government did not recognize that this school allow black children to study here, and in this way, most of the black children get the degree which other white school refused to provide. Moreover, this school also received about half of the amount of funding that most of other white schools received. All of these happened because of the overlook of the government and racists.

Hence, it helped many black people get a better understanding and education which will lead their way further in the future. This is very hard to see at that time due to the supervision of the black people and white schools. It developed and made it.

It is generally believed that the places where we went last Friday could be the most expensive areas in Boston. Each house at least is worthy more than millions of thousands of dollars which is hard for a middle-class to afford by general approach. John Kerry's house is worthy six million dollars, a lot of money! In this way, we can get closer to what the source of the American culture is.
