Black Heritage Trail

Last Friday, we went to the Black Heritage Trail. The places we visited are all around the Beacon Hill near the Parker Street. It was a hot day and the trip has a long way to go. So everyone felt tired after the trip. However, the trip was helpful. We saw many places and old buildings. We learned lots of history of Boston through this trip. For example, the Phillips School was one of the best schools at that time. It was located in the block which black people lived, but this school only accepted white students. As a result, black student had to go to another school that far from where they lived. Finally, the rule of this school changed, black students can also go to study at that school. We also visited some house which used to live some famous politicians and now these houses still have people live in. This surprised me a lot. This trip was interesting, it is a pity that it was too hot. I hope the trip next week could be a more interesting and weather could be cooler.
