Black Heritage

This week, I have visited the Baken Hill located in downtown where the housing price leads the highest among whole Boston. Baken Hill is not only a famous for it's price but also well-known for the historical and cultural background set behind. During about three hours of visiting, we have completed a trail called black heritage which reflects much early African American culture and history.
I have learned that before he civil movement in 1950s, African American were segregated with other races especially restricted to interact with white people. They were provided with lower standard of living, unfair position in employment, inferior education facility and etc. However, living with those inferior environment, African American didn't go down. instead, they developed their own lives in almost every area. Many renowned African American were produced in those days and they did their best to contribute their community on literacy, music , economy, civil rights. Those people and spirit form the heritage of African American.
I really enjoy the trip and the opportunity that I have given a presentation on a famous distinguished church. I can't wait to my next field trip.
