We became a sightseer last Friday, and saw the sublime campus of Harvard University. It was a same boiling weather as before, but it has not influenced the feeling of us in terms of facing the famous bronze statue, which has been built in 1884 to present the lifelike John Harvard in order to commemorate him. Mr. Harvard is not the founder of this University as our think, but he is a donator who promoted laying a foundation in 1636. However, this University had been named the Cambridge College in its original period. Harvard is the first corporation chartered in the United States and oldest institution of higher learning in the United States, which located in the Cambridge Avenue near by the Chares River. The University of Harvard currently is the highest institution in academic of the world. I was impressed by this beautiful Campus deeply, as well as the students in there are friendly to the tourists.
